Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg donated $5 million to a PAC supporting former Gov. Andrew Cuomo in his bid to become the next mayor of New York.
Bloomberg endorsed Cuomo earlier this week, putting aside previous political differences from when their terms in office briefly overlapped.
“I care deeply about the future of our city, and since leaving office, it has been difficult to watch its struggles, especially since the pandemic. In sizing up the field in the race for mayor, there is one candidate whose management experience and government know-how stand above the others: Andrew Cuomo,” Bloomberg said in a joint statement with Cuomo.
