Comedian Bill Maher trashed Democrats for backing a potential presidential bid from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who he said shouldn’t be at the top of the party’s ticket in 2028.
On his show Real Time With Bill Maher on Friday night, Maher was adamant that the “Squad” Democrat, who has been crisscrossing the country with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) on a “Fighting Oligarchy” tour, should not be the party’s nominee for president in three years.
“It shouldn’t be her, it shouldn’t be her,” the comedian flatly stated.
The sentiment was echoed by Sen. Tina Smith (D-MN), who was a guest on the show.
