Biden’s NatSec Adviser Casts Doubt On W.H.O. Report On Pandemic Origin: China Refuses To Turn Over Data


President Joe Biden’s top national security official, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said in a CBS News interview on Sunday that there are concerns about a forthcoming report from the World Health Organization (WHO) about the origin of the coronavirus pandemic because the Chinese government is refusing to turn over information to scientific investigators.

“I also believe that we need a credible, open, transparent international investigation led by the World Health Organization,” Sullivan said. “And they’re about to come out with a report about the origins of the pandemic in Wuhan, China, that we have questions about because we do not believe that China has made available sufficient original data into how this pandemic began to spread both in China and then eventually around the world. And we believe that both the WHO and China should step up on this matter.”
