Biden to meet Queen Elizabeth at Windsor Castle on first foreign trip as president


President Joe Biden will meet Queen Elizabeth II next week as more details regarding the itinerary for his first trip abroad as chief executive emerge.

Buckingham Palace announced on Thursday that Biden and first lady Jill Biden have been invited to Windsor Castle, outside of London, on June 13. The visit will take place after the G-7 summit, which is being hosted by the United Kingdom from June 11-13 in the southwest English city of Cornwall.

“The Queen will meet the President of the United States of America and First Lady Jill Biden at Windsor Castle on Sunday, 13th June 2021,” the royal family tweeted.
