Lights, camera, (executive) action!
President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration committee will produce a television special as part of its pared-down Inauguration Day festivities amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The 90-minute program, to be aired on all three broadcast news networks as well as CNN and MSNBC beginning at 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 20, will feature performances by Demi Lovato, Justin Timberlake, Ant Clemons, Jon Bon Jovi, and Tom Hanks as the program’s host.
Two of the participating celebrities announced their involvement on their personal Twitter accounts. Lovato, a singer who performed at the 2016 Democratic National Convention, shared her excitement in a tweet Wednesday morning.
“I’m SO honored to announce that I will be joining @JoeBiden & @KamalaHarris for their special event, ‘Celebrating America’ on January 20th at 8:30pm ET/PT,” she wrote. “I was left speechless when I was asked to perform! Tune in with various tv networks & live streaming services.”
