Beshear uses Davos platform to raise profile as Democrats’ anti-Trump face


Gov. Andy Beshear (D-KY) is taking a foil stance against President Donald Trump in Davos, Switzerland, likening Trump to a “bully on the playground” as the Kentucky Democrat uses the world stage to highlight himself as an anti-Trump figure on the Left.

Beshear stopped in Stockholm and Helsinki before arriving in the far-from-Frankfort Swiss town to sit on several World Economic Forum panels, including a U.S. governors panel and a forum on how to save the middle class. Beshear’s European swing comes as he has begun positioning himself as a 2028 presidential race contender, upping his public commentary against the Trump administration.
