Bernie Sanders denies privately complaining about Joe Biden's chances of winning election


Sen. Bernie Sanders denied a recent report claiming he was privately expressing concerns about Joe Biden’s chances of beating President Trump in November’s election.

“No, of course they’re not true. What I have said privately is what I have said publicly, and that is, I think Biden is in an excellent position to win this election, but I think we have got to do more as a campaign than just go after Trump,” he said in an interview with MSNBC’s Ali Velshi on Sunday morning.

The dismissal from the former presidential candidate came a day after the Washington Post reported that Sanders expressed doubts about Biden’s chances if he maintains his more centrist approach.
