Bernie Sanders admits Biden is ‘not popular’ but says he’s ‘not running against God’


Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) admitted that President Joe Biden isn’t popular among voters but expressed his opinion that supporting him against former President Donald Trump is necessary.

In an op-ed for the Guardian, Sanders shared his frustrations with the U.S. political system while calling 2024 a critical moment in American history, on par with the Civil War, the Great Depression, and the attack on Pearl Harbor. The key to taking the correct course during this critical moment, according to the senator, is to support Biden in November despite his problems.

“Yes. I know. Biden is not popular and many progressives, including me, strongly disagree with his policies regarding Israel and this disastrous war in Gaza,” Sanders wrote.
