Austin crane collision: Over 20 injured after collapse at work site

At least 22 people were injured Wednesday when two cranes collided and partially collapsed at a construction site in Austin, Texas.

The two structures were shown entangled several stories above a building near the city’s bustling downtown area, according to footage posted by the local station KVUE.

At least 16 people were rushed to a hospital with injuries, the Austin-Travis County EMS reported. Crane operators were still inside the structure’s cabin, which didn’t appear to be damaged Wednesday morning.
