At least one person survives Air India plane crash


One person has been confirmed to have survived the Air India flight that crashed on Thursday.

At Ahmedabad’s Civil Hospital, Dr. Dhaval Gameti told the Associated Press that he had examined the survivor of the crash, whom he identified as Vishwash Kumar Ramesh.

“He was disoriented with multiple injuries all over his body,” Gameti said. “But he seems to be out of danger.”

Vidhi Chaudhary, a top state police officer, said the man was in seat 11A. The Hindustan Times reported that the survivor is a 40-year-old British national. He sustained “impact injuries” on his chest, eyes, and feet.
