At least 10 US troops wounded in Iranian strike in Saudi Arabia: Report

Two of the troops were seriously injured as well, the Associated Press reported on Friday night. Multiple U.S. and Arab officials said that a building on the base was struck by an Iranian missile, according to the Wall Street Journal. Multiple refueling aircraft were also damaged in the attack. 

At least one missile struck the base, as well as multiple unmanned aerial vehicles, officials told the outlet. The attack was likely in retaliation for Israel’s Friday strikes against Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Friday’s attack is at least the second strike on the Saudi air base. Sgt. Benjamin Pennington died from injuries from a March 1 attack on the base, one of 13 American troops to have died during the war so far.
