An accused Proud Boys leader from New Jersey took part in the January insurrection at the US Capitol — then boasted to his mom that he “led the storm,” according to federal authorities.
Shawn Price, 26, of Rockaway, was arrested Tuesday by FBI agents in Newark for his alleged role in the Jan. 6 siege as rioters sought to disrupt the certification of President Biden’s election victory, according to the US Attorney’s Office in DC.
“I led the storm!” Price allegedly wrote to his mom on Facebook, saying he entered the building after getting pepper-sprayed and shot with rubber bullets.
Price’s mother urged him to “get out of there” while telling her son to try washing his eyes out with baby shampoo to stop the pain from the pepper spray.
