Now, as Associate Dean of Postgraduate Studies at Oxford Brookes Business School, she’s driving forward the SHAPE agenda, highlighting the social and economic impact of the creative industries. Whether examining the cultural power of music festivals or advocating for diverse voices in events, Nicole is deeply concerned about inclusion and representation issues in the creative industries and wider society.Dr Rosa Codina is a Senior Lecturer in Events and Tourism Management at Oxford Brookes University. She teaches at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the subjects of tourism impact analysis, global events operations, global events and society, and co-leads qualitative research seminars for PhD students at the Business School.Rosa’s research focuses on the socio-cultural and political impacts of tourism and events in the Global South, with an emphasis on host communities and historically underrepresented groups. Her work examines the experiences of women and other underrepresented individuals in the tourism industry, as well as the influence of tourism and events on gender norms and values.
