A $94 million jackpot-winning Powerball ticket has been sold at a liquor store in New York.
The golden ticket was purchased at Minogue’s Beverage Center on Route 9 in Malta, just north of Albany, officials said Thursday.
The drawing Wednesday night revealed the winning combination as 10, 17, 31, 51, 53 and the red Powerball, 01, according to the New York Lottery website.
The newly minted multi-millionaire chose the quick pick option, meaning the winning numbers were drawn at random.
A $2 million second-prize ticket was sold in Texas, with all five numbers matching but not the Powerball. That winner selected the Powerplay option, doubling the $1 million prize.
The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292,201,338, while the odds of winning the second prize of $1 million are slightly better at 1 in 11,688,053.
