8 Shot Tuesday, 14 Shot Monday, in Mayor Lori Lightfoot's Chicago


Eight people were shot Tuesday and 14 people were shot Monday in Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s (D) Chicago.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that seven people were shot and wounded Tuesday and one person was shot and killed.

The fatality occurred at 12:45 a.m., when 29-year-old Brandon Gray was shot in the head “in the 200 block of West 107th Street.”

He was rushed to a hospital and pronounced dead.

NBC 5 notes that ten people were shot and wounded Monday and four people were shot and killed.

The first of the four shooting fatalities occurred at 1:45 a.m., when a 49-year-old “man was shot and killed on a ramp to the Bishop Ford Expressway on the Far South Side.”
