A 2-year-old boy has died after he apparently drowned near a stormwater tunnel in Pennsylvania, police said.
Northern York County Regional Police were called around 6:29 p.m Sunday after the boy disappeared from his backyard, PennLive reported.
Search crews found the missing boy unresponsive in water near the entrance of a stormwater tunnel around two hours later, police said.
Officials performed CPR on the child and rushed him to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead, the outlet reported.
The child’s identity hasn’t been released.
Authorities said they’re still investigating the fatal incident.
