1 in 7 vaccinated Americans dumped friends over COVID shots, poll shows


It’s the ultimate form of social distancing.

One in seven vaccinated Americans have ditched pals who’ve refused to get the COVID-19 vaccine, a new poll shows.

The OnePoll survey from Monday found 16 percent of respondents have broken up with at least three friends since the pandemic began in March 2020.

Of those who ended friendships, 66 percent were vaccinated and 17 percent have no plans to receive the shot.

About one in seven – or 14 percent – of those who have been vaccinated said they dumped their friends because of their refusal to get jabbed.

A vast majority of the vaccinated respondents — 97 percent — believe their former friends are “full blown anti vaxxers” who couldn’t be convinced of the importance of getting the life-saving shot.

Their ex-friends cited not believing the COVID vaccine actually works as a reason for not getting it, according to the poll.
